BEHIND THE SCENES AT TOP DRAWER

The new season is very much upon us and we have just returned from Top Drawer & Home in London. This exhibition is a trade only event and provides a fantastic opportunity for us to showcase our new pieces.  We effectively build a shop in 3 days and try to create an exciting display that really shows off all our products.

It is always slightly daunting when you arrive at a show and see just an empty space marked out infront of you. Our trade show production team do an incredible job starting with the floor and slowly piecing together the walls creating different rooms and finishing with the lighting.

Everything arrives on pallets; boxes and boxes of products; arm chairs wrapped to avoid dirty marks, t lights, glassware, ornaments all carefully wrapped.

Once the larger items of furniture have been position the team can start laying out the products. Above the  Amiri cabinet is the perfect back drop for our Mali ceramics and other kitchen items.

The desk accessories area included one of our stylish trestle tables piled with deliciously soft leather journals, oversized paper clips and other little gems. The shelves behind display part of our photo frame collection and t lights and lanterns.

The production team even manage to build a kitchen, it is literally like building a house!  I think we might have to start offering a Nkuku kitchen service, as this proved so popular!

These authetnitc Indian carts, straight from the markets in Rajasthan, offer the perfect platform for our enamleware. Also shown here is our ever expanding accessories section, including stylish leather bags and scarves.

New to the show this year is our very exciting collection of one off unique pieces. These items sold out within seconds of the show opening but watch this space as we launch this wonderful new collection of artifacts.

The rope pendants finish off the kitchen scene to perfection. The rustic Bantham table and bench provide the perfect backdrop for our serveware, including vintage cutlery, cloches and  mango wood pizza boards. It’s all very tantalising. It was a wonderful show and thank you to all customers who came to visit our stand. As always it is great to catch up and hear feedback. Next it is Maison et Objet, Paris. Fingers crossed for another great show!
